Elizabeth

By Brdrs Petersen

A signature work of Ib Kofod-Larsen, the U-56 easy chair from 1956 was acquired by the English Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip during a visit to Copenhagen and has since then been nicknamed Elizabeth. Its delicately curved armrests with chamfered details combined with the low seat height and the sledge-like back makes this an eminent example of Danish-modern furniture design.

Originally manufactured in Denmark until production seized, Elizabeth is now in production again in Denmark, reintroduced in 2018 by Brdr. Petersen.
